In 2016, mother of four Chantal Shears founded The Clothes Horse to ease the financial burden on families in Cornwall and to address the environmental impact of the clothing industry, by offering pre-loved children's clothes.

All the clothes in our welcoming shop space are available to swap or you can pay however much you like by making a donation in store.

We only offer high-quality children's clothing, in good condition. You can take and give back items as many times as you like!

14

tonnes of clothes saved from landfill

This is our contribution to the environment since we first started in 2016.

In the year before our creation, it was estimated that the fashion industry consumed nearly 80 billion cubic metres of fresh water, emitted over a million tonnes of CO2 and produced 92 million tonnes of waste globally.

At The Clothes Horse, we're committed to replacing "fast fashion" with "circular fashion", and helping the local community along the way!

At The Clothes Horse, we want to reach as many families as possible.

"What a fantastic charity! Congratulations, you guys are doing amazing things to support hundreds of local families but also the environment, by encouraging people to reuse and help less clothes enter landfill sites. You have so many beautiful clothes available, I could have definitely left with more! Also, I love the handmade candles, they burn beautifully and smell divine! Would 100% recommend a visit to little cosy gem of a shop."
