Our Mission
We are a community interest company dedicated to making a difference, one garment at a time. Every time you donate children's clothing or leave a cash or card donation for an item you take, you become a vital part of our mission.
As a community interest company it means that any money that we makes goes back into the running of our services which are for the community.
We continue to put the environment first whilst keeping clothes out of landfill. We believe that the way we shop for clothes should contribute to the wellbeing of the environment.
Our mission is to keep clothes in circulation.
Our Impact
So far you have helped us save 14 tonnes of clothing from landfill.
This is our contribution to the environment since we started in 2016.
In the year before our creation, it was estimated that the fashion industry consumed nearly 80 billion cubic metres of fresh water, emitted over a million tonnes of CO2 and produced 92 million tonnes of waste globally.
What we do
We help families across Cornwall get clothes for their children whilst helping the environment. We have a hub based in Newquay, Cornwall which is a welcoming space where parents can find high-quality, preloved children's clothes for a voluntary cash or card donation. This money goes directly back into The Clothes Horse, keeping our doors open and our work going.
We also provide clothes parcels to families and organisations who need them most, ensuring every child has the chance to feel comfortable and confident in what they wear. If you are in need of a parcel or are an organisation whom wants to learn more get in touch here.
